CAPSTONE DONE!!

It’s been hard keeping up my posts as there are a lot of housekeeping that needs to get done towards graduation. Here is a quick post to celebrate the completion of our CAPSTONE projects!!! :)

CAPSTONE – Lessons learned

1. It is best to start early – although no one does (shh!) Don't worry it will work out in the end.

2. Find a topic you are interested in. It will make the project more exciting and fun. Especially on the nights when you don't want to work on it anymore :P

3. I found it valuable learning and criticizing different papers as well as determining how to create your own.

4. I learned that I would like to continue research in the future and enjoy presenting

I participated in a poster competition at the University of Manitoba using my capstone project

We also had our final CAPSTONE presentations with our program. I think this was our last formal presentation in PA school :)
(Link to my presentation please use the older prezi version to view - Eden's Capstone Presentation )

This was taken at the end of our presentations and we were told we all passed :) Ah my smile is huge in this one :P

HURRAY CAPSTONE IS DONE!!

  1. Hey congrats on being done with your capstone project! I finished mine earlier in the clinical year (we had a rotation set aside to complete it). We do a formal poster presentation on the day of graduation (which is now only 3 weeks away!) You are just about to graduate too correct? any job prospects yet?

  2. Yes I have 5 more weeks left. Just finishing up pediatric general surgery then have my two electives left. Yes lots of job prospects available in different areas. We were given a package from the province of available positions specifically for new grads. I will talk about my job hunt experience soon :) I read about your fellowship congrats!!

  4. "Find a topic you are interested in. It will make the project more exciting and fun. Especially on the nights when you don't want to work on it anymore" I totally agree with you! The more motivated you are, the more you do. And the more you do, more motivated you become. I'm looking at some computer science capstone project ideas to choose from at the moment.
Congrats on being done with capstone!
